Top 30 Under 30 2025 Winner!
30 April 2025
I was asked to pull together a training and development plan for some members of the team. After the meeting, I was asked to stay behind for five minutes. That’s when Emma Waudby, our Commercial Director, told me I’d been selected as a winner for the 2025 Hull & Humber Top 30 Under 30 cohort.
I immediately teared up.
I’ve worked so hard—across several industries—doing whatever it took to follow my own path, and hearing those words hit me deeply. It made me stop and reflect on how far I’ve come in what is, honestly, a relatively short space of time.
I hadn’t even been with Cobus for a full year before receiving this recognition, and that alone feels like such an achievement. To be seen, validated, and believed in—after less than twelve months—is incredible. A huge thank you to Emma Waudby and Michael Smith for the belief, trust and for giving me the opportunity to create and adapt my role.
Telecoms is a completely new industry for me. I’ve stumbled, grown, and learnt a lot already on this journey. Now, I’m beyond excited to immerse myself in the LEAP programme—not just for my own development, but to bring those insights and skills back to the team.
My goals? I want to build a deeper confidence in my abilities, grow into the best version of myself for my team, and help push Cobus to new heights. I want to be effective in my role—able to make the right decisions, and when I get it wrong (as we all do sometimes), know how to fix it with confidence and clarity.
I’m excited to see the impact this programme will have—not just on me, but on Cobus as a whole. We’ve got a bright future ahead, and I’m proud to be a cog in the wheel that’s helping drive us forward.
